Today was our Stake Conference. It was a really great Sunday at church. It started off a little rough, with arriving 20 min late. We had our bishop have a really great talk and then we heard a talk from our stake president.
I was so proud of Noah, today he attended Primary by himself. He told me that he wanted me to come in the begining but when his teacher arrived he told me I could leave. I was so proud. Maya loves nursery, it has so many little dolls for her to play with.
Just so happens the Sunday School class that I decided was one to remember. I thought I had picked the right room that Robb was in but walked in and he wasnt there. The class was taught by the stake president. It was focused on new members and converts. It was truelly meant for me. I was directed to that class for a reason. The stake president called on me to talk about how I felt about the church and converting. I told him that I really felt that the church has impacted my life. Not growing up with any religion it was hard to accept the church and fully understand. It is still that way to this day, but when I see my kids talk about Jesus, ask to pray, and I can see that they are learning and striving to learn, it's the greatest thing.
It was the first time to attend Relief Society in a while since I had been going to Primary with Noah. I met two new women that had just started in the ward. I also saw a friend that I hadn't seen in a while. She is suffering from Lung Cancer. She is the happiest woman I have ever met despite her hardship. I told her that she is an inspiration to us all, living life to the fullest. She has 3 wonderful and beautiful girl and I see her with her girls and she loves them so much.
Sister DeLeon, the bishops wife stopped me today and told me that she was so happy to see me. I really felt good. Our new bishop has really touched my heart, he is such a kind and caring man.
Well, I better get going. Next time you talk to Noah definetly ask him about Primary. Oh, and ask him about his Planets in the solar system, if you help him he can name all of them in order.
