Hanging out!

Today, was a pretty low key day. We had fogged the house for the fleas and we sprayed the yard. Luckily, we aren't the only ones with them mysteriously. Robb talked to the old lady across the street and she has them too. I was told they are bad this summer cause we didn't have a hard freeze. Hopefully, we got em!! We had to venture around for 3 hours while the house was fogging so we stopped at a nursery that Robb and I hadn't been to in over 5 years, since we got married. After leaving we told ourselves that the prices were outrageous there and maybe that was why? hmm.
We ventured in to Petsmart to get cat litter and visit with the little critters and animals... that was fun for me :) After Robb, Noah, and Maya, all taking their afternoon nap... (Yes, mommy not included, hee hee) we ventured to South Park Meadows to hang out with our friends from church. About 6 couples ended up showing up, we had a great time. Noah played in the little water squirters while maya hung on me non stop, as usual... It's great to hang out with friends....

Mommy and Maya -although Maya doesn't look to happy :)
Enjoying music on the hill at South Park Meadows.

Memorial Day Pancake Breakfast

This morning we headed over to the church to enjoy a little memorial day ceremony and a pancake breakfast. The kids had a fun time. Noah got to visit with the missionaries again, which he love so much.

Yesterday, after dinner we decided to do aother marshmallow roasting in the back at our fire pit. The kids love roasting marshmallows, plus it's a great way to spend time together.

Maya loves marshmallows.
This is the infamous "poky plant" that sounds like fireworks when being burned.

Athena goes to the Planetarium!

Today, Noah's school took the much anticipated field trip to the Planetarium in Killeen, Texas. (About 1 hr 15 min away) I loaded up the van with 4 other kids and 3 other adults besides myself, noah and maya and started the trek. The kids were all very excited to be going, they had been waiting for a little over a month or so. We got to killeen and ate lunch around a little pond full of ducks, which all the kids were excited about... Noah kept throwing his lunch to them.... Oh my Noah! :) We got to the planetarium and watched a 45 min show, about "in my backyard". I was totally taken back by what it actually was. I guess I was expecting IMAX quality??? I'm not sure, but the long trek didn't seem worth what I was seeing... Anyway, the kids enjoyed it and got frizbees as a souvenier from the place.... Once in the van we were on our way back.... When I finally made it back to the school parking lot I yelled! WE MADE IT!!! Here are some pictures to enjoy!
My chowing down on her lunch!
Noah so ready to take off to the duck pond and throw his bun!

And Soccer Season comes to an end!

On Saturday, Noah had his last soccer game of the season. We slicked his hair up into a mohawk to go out with a bang. Was it ever! The rockets played one of the best games of the season. After the soccer game the 4-5 year old age group had there banquet. Noah was so excited, he got first very first trophy! I am so proud of him, he is now looking forward to starting tee ball in June!

Here are some fun pictures of Saturday and the very last picture is his team and soccer photo.

morning art

Here is picture that Noah drew this morning before he went to school. Robb woke me up and said that he had something to show me. It was this drawing with 5 people. From left to right the people are, MAYA, MOMMY, DADDY, and Noah ( The tallest) and then the 5th one on the right hand side is grandpa. It was funny to see that he drew himself the tallest.
One day he will actually be that tall I bet... Hee Hee..
By the way, THE KIDS LOVE TO PAINT AND DRAW IF YOU HAVEN'T NOTICED, I LOVE IT!!!! THEY TAKE AFTER MOMMY AND DADDY THAT WAY :)

hamburger tree anyone?

Tonight we had Burger King for dinner since I had a appt. with a chiropractor about 20 min from the house. We decided that we would just grab it and eat in the car. I turned my head to see what Noah was doing and I saw that he was picking the sesame seeds of the bun and eating them. I said is that good? He responded and said Yup. He continued and said, "Mom you know, if I pick these seeds off and plant them into the ground I will grow a hamburger tree." It was the most hilarious thing. It's one of those moments that you will never forget.

fun in the sun

If you don't already know, our kids are water babies, but I think that comes from Robb's side of the family. They all used to swim and they love the water.

We had a great weekend filled with fun in the sun. We spent Saturday evening setting up the pool and waiting for it to fill. The kids got to take a quick swim before it started to rain. Luckily, on Sunday we had perfect weather for playing in the pool.

Here are some fun pictures to enjoy.
We thought these goggles were so hilarious

I just love this picture of maya, isn't she so tall and tan... FUTURE MODEL!!!
