And we're off to church!

Our Little Church Goers

I know just starting to go to church regularly should have been something that we should have been doing years ago, but it was my new years resolution to be commited to going.
2 sundays ago Noah was introduced to his primary teacher. He wasn't to excited during the 2nd hour when all the primary kids were together. I tried to get him into it but he wouldn't budge. When he broke off into his individual class he did loosen up. He started talking with the kids and his teacher and was even answering questions. He even told the class that he was wearing "God's Clothes" that day. Collette was in nursery with Maya, I think she did ok.
This sunday was even better. Noah and I went to primary and he even played Noah in the Noah's Arc acting skit his class did. He had to be pushed into place several times and the teacher had to speak for him, but I was so proud of him. He is really making strides to understanding what the church is about. I was surprised when Robb told me that Maya was in nursery by herself. She came out with a little activity she made and came out singing Twinkle Twinkle. It is very cute!

My anniversary present from Robb was a second anniversary band that match the one I got when we first got married. I just love how my wedding ring looks.

What a weekend!

The weekend started on Friday. Collette and Jenna arrived around 5pm. It was great to see them and Noah and Maya were so excited to see grandma. It was Robb and I's 5th anniversary so we got a long awaited night out by ourselves. We went and ate at Texas Land and Cattle and we had a good time. We talked without having kids to wrestle or wrangle.

Saturday started off on the wrong foot. Number one it was cold, probably 50's, and two it was raining all day long. We stayed inside most of the day. Collette has started a big turkey in the morning, so that by dinner time we could celebrate Jenna's thanksgiving that she missed. We all just lounged around. At about 2 or 3 I decided I needed to get out of the house. Collette, Noah and I ventured to USA baby which was having a huge sale. We walked around and I spotted some bunkbeds that I thought looked nice. To my amazment they were 75 percent off. From $750 to $299. I had just started to think maybe we should get Maya some bunkbeds since she liked Noah's so much. I took Robb back and he thought they were very nice so we purchased them. It was raining so hard, we would have to definetly get them on sunday.

Here is a picture of Maya and Noah relaxing on the bunks

Sunday, I sold Maya's old bed from Ikea, one down 1 to go. The crib is next, which luckily I had someone call today that is going to meet me to buy it. Yeah! We started to put the bunk beds together and rearrange her room. I don't think that we could of done that with Collette helping us move all those big pieces around and Jenna preoccupying the kids. Noah, Maya, and Jenna were all watching a movie in Noah's bed and eating rice cakes. Check it out!

Anyway, night came for Maya to sleep in her new bed. Man was that fun. Mommy had to sleep with Maya all night. She was up all night, probably until about 4am. We finally pasted out and I woke up with the worst back pain, and headache from being so tired. Tonight, Monday, was a little easier. Robb and I put her to bed probably 20 times before she passed out. Hey, atleast I get to enjoy my own bed tonight!

You could say this is a good description of how I felt today!!!!

Dora... Dora...Dora

Maya has discovered Dora the Explorer. How fun that has been.
Everything is Dora, Dora, Dora. She has dora slippers, Dora
Tennis Shoes, and Dora Pull-ups. I wonder why she is so
popular with kids. Guess maybe they like the animals and
associate them with Dora.

Not to mention, Noah is into Spongebob Squarepants.
His word revolves around him just as Maya's does around Dora.
He's got the underwear, the shirts, the computer game, the movie, watches the cartoon all the time.

The joys of your children's heros!
