Our Little Professor!

Yup, you see it correctly, Noah now wears glasses. He does not need to wear them during recreational use such as playing outside or during sports, but needs them for class and reading far away and in school. He is nearsighted!!! I think he looks pretty darn cute!

Our new family member.... Honey!

Amongst all the other farm animals that we have added to our property we couldn't go without getting a farm dog! Well, she isn't much of a farm dog but she is such a great dog for our family. She is very timid and is still getting used to her new surrounding but she loves the outdoors and loves running around in the field and chasing after the kids. She is skiddish, but i am hoping with time that will start to fade away and she will open up more.. Honey is her name and she is part Chihuahua and Part Maltese, but i think she looks more maltese than chihuahua.... she is suh a sweet heart!

Our Family Garden 2010

This year we are so excited to have planted our yearly garden. Last year we were unable to have a garden since we were at a different house. This year we planted as much as we could and prepared the ground as best we could. We rented a tiller and had the kids help pull weeds. This year we planed most everything from seeds except our tomato plants, a bell pepper plant, a banana pepper plant, okra, and some cucumbers. From seeds we planted Corn, 2 types of lettuce, pumpkins, cantalope, watermelon, peas, and carrots! I dont have an updated picture but the garden is flourishing with all the rain that we have been getting... everything has pretty much sprouted. It is so fun watching our garden grow!!!

Favorite Photo of the night!

Tonight, this is my my favorite photo in my list of a whole slew of pictures!!! Tristan loves ice cream. Pair it with an elmo DVD and you have an instant babysitter!!! (I would never use that as a babysitter)

Dyeing Easter Eggs!!!! First time ever!

We had a fun time dyeing easter eggs this year for the first time ever as a family. We did some really neat color combinations, but the best part of all was being able to do something as a family! (With bickering but thats ok)

Our finished product of dyed eggs!!

Easter 2010

We had a great easter! We enjoyed visiting Grandma and Grandpa Kirk and Aunt Amie! We had a great time hiding the eggs and watching the kids run around and find them. From eggs in wheel rims to hidden in broken pots, all the eggs were found and the oppening of the loot began quickly! As much as we all love the candy and the easter fun, we mush remember the true meaning of easter, and ever second I got I tried to remind my kids the greatest meaning of easter, Christ has Risen!! Enjoy these fun pictures of the kids hunting and opening the their loot!

Bluebonnets and Bonfires!

With all this rain we have had the pleasure of seeing a bunch of bluebonnets bloom on our property. As well as the rain, it is that time again to start cranking up the family bonfires! We love getting together around the fire pit and roasting marshmallows, although our first bonfire of the year was enjoyed not with marshmallows but with eating raisins! Hey you use whatcha got!!! We love sitting around as a family and watching the fire and just enjoying the outdoors! Here are some pictures from our first one of the year, I'm sure there are many more to come!!

The Bluebonnets in the back of our property!

The boys ready for the bonfire to begin!

More Love to spread...

We decided to add 6 more baby chicks to our chicken family. The kids love having them around and love playing with them. These were a lot smaller than the original 4 that we purchased that are now outside keeping the peacock company. Enjoy the pictures!!

Gumbo Cookoff!

A few weeks ago we went to a Gumbo Cookoff! Maya had decided to stay at home and hang out with Grandma B and Heather. We had a fun time trying 10 different types of gumbos and enjoying the outdoors.
