Pumpkin Painting!

So, Noahs teachers asked me about 2 weeks ago if I would be game to let the kids paint my growing tummy into a pumpkin for Halloween. I was a little surprised but honored to let the kids take on such a fun project. So, here are some of the pictures. We had a lot of fun!!!
Gabe painting the outline of the pumpkin for the kids to paint.

A Baby Shower for Tristan

On Saturday, I had my baby shower. I couldn't believe how beautiful the shower looked. My best friend Naomi did a fantastic job on decorating and getting it all pulled together. Above is a picture of this adorable diaper wreath that she made, yes it was all her!!
I love her to death.

Here Naom and I are taking a picture in front of the baby wreath.
Here is another awesome creation by Naomi. This adorable ducky diaper cake.

I am so lucky!!

High School friends!!!! Liz, Erin, and Naomi

Here is the set up in the kitchen area. We had some of the best food ever. It was completely gone by the end of the party. I must say, Tristan is already loved by many! There was such a great turn out at the baby shower and he got lots of great gifts. This whole thing could have not been possible for my very best friend Naomi. I love ya girl!!

We've moved!

It's official, we've moved!
Here is a picture of our house we moved into.
We were lucky to get a head start on moving 3 weeks early thanks to our tenant letting us know that he was unable to pay rent for the month of October. We were also lucky to have Heather and Jenna help us move, without them, I don't think it would have been possible.
It's a lot different having stairs, and mulitple rooms and floors to clean. The kids like all the space to run around and explore. We are adjusting to our new surroundings and our list gets longer each day on little things and big that need to be done around here.

A favorite memory...

I was taking a shower ( Of all places ) and I stopped and remembered that I had made a blog to track my pregnancy with Maya. I wondered if that blog still existed and sure enough it does!

Check it out http://www.mayabuchanan.blogspot.com/ Paige, then pointed out to me that Noah's old blog still existed as well... check it out! www.noahbuchanan.blogspot.com

When our new addition comes we will still have this blog, no random name blogs. Fun to look back on though.

I read through the whole thing and can't believe that she is now almost 2 1/2 years old. Wow, seeing pictures of Maya and Noah as babies just makes me want to squeeze them and never let them go and constantly let them know how much i love them.

Passed

After enduring a very sugary drink, 5 needle pricks, and 3 hours of nothing, I passed the 3-hour Glucose test.

Yay!

A funeral and LOTS OF TRAFFIC!!!

Yesterday, we headed to San Antonio to pay respects to one of my aunts that had passed away. After the funeral we headed back to my grandmothers house to hang out for a while. We dedided to leave around 8 to get back around 9:15pm and get the kids to bed... WRONG!!! We made it all the way to Kyle which is about 20 minutes from our house at about 8:45pm to hit BUMPER TO BUMPER traffic. I mean literally a parking lot. We sat in traffic from 8:45pm till 12:30pm! I could not believe it. Luckily, we had our Iphones and I logged onto the news website to find out that the highway was closed for 5 miles due to an accident or something like that. I got nervous about 2 hours into it because we were on empty and not moving at all. In three hours we moved 3 miles. Thank god for Robb's Iphone. It had this amazing GPS device on it and we cut across a HUGE ditch and median and made a uturn back a mile and took back roads. I cannot believe that we sat in that crap yesterday. We saw a man break down and have to push his car off the side of the road, 2 guys walking up and down the side of the street 2 different times to try and walk and find out what the problem was, various different varieties of music (some crazy, some annoying), and tons of exhaust!!!! Luckily, we are home!

The Glucose test.

Well, today I had my glucose screening test along with my 28 week appt. It's the test that everyone dreads! Well, I wake up early, like 6:45 am to eat something as I was told before I took the drink. I open the drink and smell it, as I recalled from the other 2 times I took it, it really wasnt that bad. So I literally chug the drink, and moments later feel awfully sick!
Anyway, I get to the dr., they take my blood and I have my ob appt. I find out that I FAILED the glucose test. Now I have to take a 3 hour Glucose test! FUN FUN FUN
I'll have to go find a good book this weeked, cause on Monday I'll be sitting around for 3 hours!!!
