Ok, so the pictures are sort of hard to see, our kitchen lights burnt out the night before and we hadn't changed then. The kids decided to start the morning off with a game of Twister. Maya is getting really good with recognizing colors.

100 Day!!!
On Friday, Noah's class celebrated the 100th day of school. They had many activities dealing with the number 100. They made 100 day crowns, fruit loop necklace with 100 fruit loops, what would you buy with 100 dollars, bags with 100 pieces of different snacks. The idea was to teach the kids how to count to 100 in increments of 10.
The party concluded with a 100 day cake covered with 100 candles. As you can see it looks more like a fire ball on the cake instead of candles. All the kids had a lot of fun. What a great way to celebrate 100 days at Athena Montessori. Here are some fun pictures to enjoy.

Noah drawing what he would by with $100 dollars. He said that he would buy a dinosaur. Although I guess he changed his mind cause he ended up deciding to draw a refrigerator.
While the kids counted in french to 50 and 50 in english, Gabe stacked 100 montessori counting cubes. It was a great show, it was almost as tall as him and it kept falling apart.

Each kid in the class was told to bring 100 of any item that they wanted.
With the 100 items from each kid, they made a huge mosaic. Noah decided to bring 100 chocolate basketballs. Some other things included baseball card, swedish fish, pasta, jelly beans, and coins.

I never thought....
You know, I never thought that any of my children would get in the dryer. I have always tried to incorporate them in helping me load and start the washer and dryer and understand it is specifically for clothes. This morning I was hanging up some clothes in the laundry room and I stepped away to go hang some up. When I came back I found Maya in the dryer. I couldn't help but laugh and grab the camera. I immediately after took her out and told her dangerous, and let her put a rug in the dryer to learn it was for clothes only. Here's the little bugger!

Hunt #2 - Nursing home by our house.
We decided to go the another easter egg hunt on saturday at the nursing home just down the street. We were invited by the neighborhood association. We had never been there so I was actually a little bit nervous, I don't think that I have ever been in a nursing home. We got there and it was great to see the elderly so happy to see these kids run around for eggs. Here are some fun pictures to enjoy.
Start of Easter Weekend - Hunt #1

Spring Break - A trip to the zoo!
Noah had spring break the week of the 10th - 14th. He had wanted to go to the zoo all week, and that Friday we woke up and he was so excited we were going. All the animals were out, we had such great weather that day. We saw pigs, tigers, a bear, tortoise, crazy monkeys, and chickens. Noah's favorite was the llama, everytime we go he is so excited to see it. His teeth are so funny (the llamas of course!) Here are some pictures, Enjoy!
Church Playgroup Easter Hunt
On Wednesday I took Maya and Caden (the little boy I babysit) to our church playgroud Easter egg hunt. I was great to have a couple of hours to mingle with some mom while watching all the little kids scarf down the candy. Here are some cute pictures. Caden didn't really understand what eggs were, and Maya was a little bit more excited about a baby that was there than finding eggs.

Stake Conference
Today was our Stake Conference. It was a really great Sunday at church. It started off a little rough, with arriving 20 min late. We had our bishop have a really great talk and then we heard a talk from our stake president.
I was so proud of Noah, today he attended Primary by himself. He told me that he wanted me to come in the begining but when his teacher arrived he told me I could leave. I was so proud. Maya loves nursery, it has so many little dolls for her to play with.
Just so happens the Sunday School class that I decided was one to remember. I thought I had picked the right room that Robb was in but walked in and he wasnt there. The class was taught by the stake president. It was focused on new members and converts. It was truelly meant for me. I was directed to that class for a reason. The stake president called on me to talk about how I felt about the church and converting. I told him that I really felt that the church has impacted my life. Not growing up with any religion it was hard to accept the church and fully understand. It is still that way to this day, but when I see my kids talk about Jesus, ask to pray, and I can see that they are learning and striving to learn, it's the greatest thing.
It was the first time to attend Relief Society in a while since I had been going to Primary with Noah. I met two new women that had just started in the ward. I also saw a friend that I hadn't seen in a while. She is suffering from Lung Cancer. She is the happiest woman I have ever met despite her hardship. I told her that she is an inspiration to us all, living life to the fullest. She has 3 wonderful and beautiful girl and I see her with her girls and she loves them so much.
Sister DeLeon, the bishops wife stopped me today and told me that she was so happy to see me. I really felt good. Our new bishop has really touched my heart, he is such a kind and caring man.
Well, I better get going. Next time you talk to Noah definetly ask him about Primary. Oh, and ask him about his Planets in the solar system, if you help him he can name all of them in order.
